History

HealthKeeperz traces its roots back to 1966 when Howard Brooks, R.Ph. founded Pembroke Drug Center, a community based pharmacy in Pembroke, NC after completing his pharmacy training at the Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy. Mr. Brooks returned to Pembroke, his home town, as one of the community’s first Native American pharmacists. Over the years Mr. Brooks has developed his pharmacy into an integrated community based health care delivery system. Each year, HealthKeeperz serves thousands of patients by caring for them where they are.
