HealthKeeperz began in 1966 as a home town pharmacy in Pembroke, North Carolina. Since then, several home and community-based health care services have been established and developed throughout southeastern North Carolina. Today the HealthKeeperz Comprehensive Approach to home and community based services allows many individuals to maintain their health right at home.
For more than 50 years, HealthKeeperz has served the health care needs of the people of North Carolina. Our company traces its roots back to the 1960s, when pharmacist Howard Brooks established Pembroke Drug Center, a community-based pharmacy for the people of Pembroke and surrounding areas.
Through the ensuing decades, Howard Brooks and the leadership team grew HealthKeeperz into a true integrated health system, providing an array of home-based health services, equipment, and products to give the company’s patients higher quality of life, dignity, and the clinical excellence they deserve.

Tim Brooks
President & CEO
Tim has served Healthkeeperz for over two decades. He prides himself on his willingness to grow and learn from his amazing team. Being mission minded, Tim often leads with a heart to serve and prides himself on the internal culture of Healthkeeperz that aims to go above and beyond to provide for the needs of both patients and employees. He stands firm that with the people serving in Healthkeeperz as well as the patients that trust them, the future is bright and nothing is impossible.

James Chavis
Chief People Officer
James has been on the HealthKeeperz Team since 2014 and continues to daily enjoy the opportunity to improve the well-being of the employees as well as cultivate the culture of "Flourishing" in the workspace. James enjoys family, friends, and loves music, both listening and playing. Bass, upright bass, piano, if its got a jazz vibe, he is about it.

Tim has been working with Healthkeeperz as of 2023, focusing on nurturing the growth of the company both internally and externally. Tim brings a wealth of experience in making sure that what happens behind the scenes, allows for the best quality care for all patients. He has a passion for family and community, and enjoys both fishing and golfing in his free time.

Unita has been with Healthkeeperz for nearly 20 years. Often referred to as the glue of the company, she strives to keep things organized and efficient to provide the best quality experience for both clients and employees. As passionate as she is about her own culture, she thouroughly enjoys traveling and experiencing the different cultures around the world.

Being a part of the Healthkeeperz Team since 2014, Kim finds passion in contributing to the quality of life and experience for both patients and their caregivers. As a mother, she has always been a caregiver herself and when she is not taking care of patients and providers, you will find her at her kids sporting events or performances, enjoying the family life.
